چکیده

Wear-resistant Cu-Zr-Al-Ag-Co amorphous coatings were fabricated by high-velocity air-fuel spray technology using (Cu43Zr47Al7Ag3)99.5Co0.5 powder at different temperatures (i.e., 645, 725, and 805 K). The feedstock powders (98.6 wt.% phase) produced a gas atomization method. Thermal properties microstructure of the comparably investigated differential scanning calorimeter, electron microscope, transmission microscopy techniques. Wear studied dry sliding wear tester under linear reciprocating in ball-on-plate mode GCr15 ball as counterpart room temperature air. A large fraction phase (~67.5 wt.%) crystalline phases (ZrO2, Al2.5Cu0.5Zr, AlZr3) are found coating (725 K) between glass transition (Tg) onset crystallization (Tx). In addition, also exhibits highest Vickers hardness (554 HV0.1), bonding strength (59.3 MPa), relatively low porosity (1.65%), superior resistance. mechanism is primarily abrasive slight adhesive wear.

Effect of Carbide Particle Size on the Microstructure, Mechanical properties, and Wear Behavior of HVOF-sprayed WC-17% Co Coatings

This study investigates the effect of carbide particle size on the microstructure, mechanical properties, and abrasive wear resistance of WC-17%Co HVOF-sprayed coatings. The characteristics of WC-1, WC-2, and WC-3 coatings with carbide sizes of 1 µm, 0.9 µm, and 0.5 µm, respectively, were also investigated. WC-1 coating experienced the maximum carbon loss of 42%, while WC-2 and WC-3 coatings un...

The Dry Sliding Wear Properties of Nano-Sized TiCp/Al-Cu Composites at Elevated Temperatures

Nano-sized ceramic particle reinforced aluminum composites exhibit excellent room-temperature mechanical properties. However, there is limited research on the dry sliding wear behavior of those composites at elevated temperatures, which should be one of the major concerns on elevated temperature applications. Here the Al-Cu composites reinforced with nano-sized TiCp were fabricated. The dry sli...

Microstructure and electrical properties of co-sputtered Cu embedded amorphous SiC

The properties of co-sputtered Cu embedded amorphous SiC were studied. The effect of the microstructure features on the electrical conduction of the SiC films, with Cu volume% between 0% and 57%, was analysed by temperature dependent measurements, along with an effective-medium approximation model. The electrical conduction in Cu embedded amorphous SiC, was attributed to the tunnelling mechanis...
